My research examines the interaction of Incel discourse, far-right rhetoric, and misogyny in the context of Trump’s administration. By amplifying toxic power dynamics and constructing in-group and out-group identities, these communities vilify women and marginalised groups, reproducing androcentric structures. The rise of online radicalisation, particularly in the context of the Trump presidency, which has been associated with populist rhetoric that often aligns with patriarchal and misogynistic ideologies, has given this discourse a broader political dimension. The political climate surrounding Trump’s rhetoric and its impact on gender politics provides a backdrop for understanding how these communities gain traction and influence mainstream political narratives.
