David A. Jaeger is Professor in the School of Economics and Finance, a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor in Bonn, and a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic and Policy Research in London. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and has held permanent and visiting positions at the College of William and Mary, the University of Cologne, the CUNY Graduate Center, Princeton University, and Bonn University, among others. He has studied and violence as well as political preferences in the Israeli-Paslestinan conflict and the impact of drone strikes on terrorism in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He also has research interests in applied microeconomics in areas as diverse as immigration, education, health, and quantitative medieval history. He was the first recipient of the W.E. Upjohn Prize for his dissertation and has been honored with a fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
